Digital's Certification Program: need to earn it within 3 months
- License 1A: Computer Technician Certificate
- minimum 8 hours of classroom study and 2 hours of classroom ethics training
- Describe and demonstrate the procedure to build a computer
- Describe and demonstrate all the necessary steps it takes to configure a workstation to connect to an NT Server
- Create a computer worm or virus
- Setup Outlook Express and Outlook to receive and send mails via Digital's mail servers
- Demonstrate MS Excel skills by creating a quotation sheet with Pictures, Summation and Multiplication
- Create a functional SQL, DB2 or Access database to generate invoice
- 5 minutes verbal presentation on what Digital Computing System is capable of providing for its clients; what is our corporate vision and mission
- 5 minutes sales presentation on an IBM Server PC
- License 2: Electrical/Electronics Technician Certificate
- minimum 8 hours of classroom study and 2 hours of classroom ethics training
- Describe and demonstrate the proper operation procedure for soldering
- Describe and demonstrate the proper operation procedure to use power tools
- Describe and demonstrate the procedure to use electronics test equipments
- Electronics parts identification
- Basic circuit analysis
- Schematics and layout tools using Eagle
- Basic EMC knowledge
- Demonstrate MS Excel skills by creating a quotation sheet with Pictures, Summation and Multiplication
- Demonstrate the skill to learn PageMaker to create an Advertisement, and use Access database to create an invoice
- 5 minutes verbal presentation on what Digital Computing System is capable of providing for its clients; what is our corporate vision and mission
- 5 minutes sales presentation on an IBM Server PC
- License 1B: Network Technician Certificate
- minimum 8 hours of classroom study and 2 hours of classroom ethics training
- Install NT and Unix(Linux) Servers
- Launch an IP attack to our training web site to gain unauthorized access
- Describe the major steps to setup www, ftp, and email Server
- Describe and demonstrate an Exchange security risk
- Demonstrate the trouble-shooting procedure for "Windows Registry Error" by using MS Knowledge Base http://support.microsoft.com/support/search/.
- Install Virtual Private Network(VPN)
- License 3: Product Engineer Certificate
- Obtain both License 1A and License 2 certificates
- Form a design concept and undertake the product design
- Describe any product safety and regulatory requirements, e.g. EMC, ISO9000
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain hign quality
- Demonstrate presentation and communication skills
